Atlas Pillar was born from a pivotal moment in the break room of a small-town utility office. I was a newly minted environmental compliance inspector, and Carole—a 35-year utilities employee—stood nervously by stacks of records, bracing for the outcome of my visit.

It was a stark contrast to my training in large metropolitan facilities, where dedicated teams of administrators handled compliance with ease. Here, the responsibility fell on one person already carrying too much. I had two options: follow my training, mark deficiencies, and schedule another visit—or sit beside Carole and help her build a system she could manage with confidence. I chose the second. That decision shaped the path I’ve followed ever since: empowering small organizations with compliance solutions that are practical, sustainable, and tailored to their realities.

Over time, I’ve built a network of like-minded professionals: safety experts from industry, leaders from the U.S. military, environmental specialists, and HR advisors. Together, we form the AtlasPillar team—four “pillars” of expertise in safety, environmental management, HR, and leadership. Each pillar stands independently, but together they create a strong structure of support, much like the Leonardo bridge that inspires our logo.
